Velma Jean Dix

Velma Jean Dix, 81, of Grassy Knob, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2018. She fought a hard battle after having a stroke in January of this year. She lost her husband of 48 years, Dennis Dix this past March. She grew up in Miami where she was a professional dancer in many stage plays. After she married and had children, she became an activity director in nursing homes. She is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Browning of Melbourne Florida and Krista Roberts of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
