James Bedford Westbrook

James Bedford Westbrook Jr. died December 12, 2018 at the VA Hospital Fayetteville, Ark. He was born in Greenville Miss., November 18, 1932. Preceded in death by his father and mother James and Ruby Westbrook and sister Ruby Francis and husband Warren Bell. Survived by his wife of 63 years Darla, sister Beddy Anna and husband Wilson Virden of Woodstock, Ga. Children Steve and wife Lynne Westbrook of Wichita, Kan.; Larry and wife Pam Westbrook of Richmond, Va., Lisa and husband Steve Neighbors of Overland Park, Kan. Six grandchildren Courtney Oates, Jennifer Skarbek, Todd Westbrook, Danielle McMurphy, Austin Neighbors and Christopher Neighbors; two great grandchildren Madison Oates and Teagan Skarbek. He served our country four years in the Navy 1951-1955. Retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 26 years. He was a volunteer at Springdale Memorial Hospital for 16 years. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. Graveside service will be at Oak Hill Cemetery Lawrence, Kan. Date to be determined.
