Benjamin Keith Gibson

Benjamin Keith Gibson, 41, died Wednesday, December 12. He was born August 27, 1977 in Rogers, Arkansas. Benjamin was a pursuer of adventure and knowledge with a tender heart towards people and animals in need. He was creative with a witty humor, and a passion for the culinary industry. Ben loved his family deeply. He is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Williams Gibson; and grandfathers, Clyde Williams and Clyde Gibson. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday December 17, 2018 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 120 North 9th Street, Fort Smith, Ark. Burial will be in Mayberry Cemetery in Central City. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday December 16, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Survivors include Benjamin's father, Keith Gibson and wife, Jill; three sisters, Amy Tharp and husband Ryan, Allison Gibson and Leah Gibson; grandmothers, Frances Williams and Ruby Jo Gibson; niece, Zadie Frances Tharp; nephews, Lucas Gibson and Elliott Tharp; aunts, Sandra Williams and Carolyn Wellons and husband Bill, Tammy Nolan and husband Bennett; uncles, Dean Gibson and wife Monica, and Greg Gibson and wife Cindy, and numerous cousins. Ben loved and missed his mother. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in her memory to the Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3324 South M Street, Fort Smith, Ark., 72903.
