Gwen Brown Rogers

Gwen Brown Rogers, born in Paris, Arkansas on August 22, 1937 to James S. and Esthuel King Brown and passed into heaven on December 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jimmie W. Brown, Charles R. Brown, and Stephen L. Brown; sister Juanita Johnson; brother-in-law Charles Harris; and son-in-law Robert E. Fry. Survivors include son Tommy Rogers and wife Janie of Springdale, Ark.; daughter Melissa Fry of Shawnee, Kan.; grandchildren Aaron Rogers and wife Tesa, and Ashley Hester and husband Travis, of Springdale, Ark., Jillian Fry of Shawnee, Kan., and Robby Fry of Overland Park, Kan.; sister Betty Harris of Charleston, Ark.; and great-granddaughters RayLee Rogers and Kynleigh Moore. Gwen devoted herself to her children and grandchildren, and they were the light of her life. After returning to school later in life and earning her degree at U of A, she became a business instructor at Northwest Technical Institute, where she was committed to her students. The family would like to thank Gwen's dear friend, Carol Misenheimer, for her love and support through the years, especially as she battled dementia. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas.
