Loren Dean Hattabaugh, 71, of Japton passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice Home. He was born Jan. 21, 1945 in Fayetteville to Robert Lee Hattabaugh and Martha Pauline Starkey-Hattabaugh. He was a longtime member of New Life Tabernacle Church in Baldwin. He was a great all around Musician, minister and Sunday school teacher. He loved his family, having family gatherings, fishing, hunting and canning but most of all he loved God. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles David McDaniel, and one sister, June Fields. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Margaret McDaniel-Hattabaugh; five daughters, Tammy Evans and husband Rodney of Hector, Ark., Sandra Dunham and husband Billy of Japton, Shirley Massey of Hot Springs, Belynda Bottoms and husband Larry of Farmington and Lisa McDaniel of the home; three brothers Alvin Hattabaugh and wife Maggie of Durham, Billy Hattabaugh and wife Bessie and Juan Hattabaugh and wife Rosie both of Hazel Valley; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. John Martin and Rev Darrell Foulk officiating. Burial will follow at McCord Cemetery. Funeral Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
