Jessica 'Jess' Jones Goff of Houston, Texas and Little Rock, Ark. went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the age of 19. Jessica's spirit will carry on through her devoted parents, Jena Jones of Houston, Texas. and Little Rock, Ark. and Tim and Cathy Goff of Houston, Texas. Jess is also survived by her sisters, Casey and Tyler Goff, both of Houston, Texas, and her grandparents, Dr. O.E. 'Poppa Wee' and Patricia 'Ppat' Jones of Batesville, Ark. and the late L.J. 'Papa' Goff and Jean 'Granny' Goff of Harrison, Ark. She is also lovingly remembered by dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles, and bountiful friends. Jessica shed light and joy on all she encountered. You could always count on her to give you the straight truth. She was wise beyond her years. Despite her decade-long battle with neuroblastoma cancer, Jess continuously found reason to smile. She shared that smile with those around her. She loved to dance, sing and play soccer. She was the coloring queen! Jess was very involved in her church youth group at St. John the Divine Episcopal church, and she absolutely loved Camp Mystic summer camp in Hunt, Texas. She made a myriad of wonderful friends there and always looked forward to going. Jess attended The Post Oak Montessori school for many years. She went on to attend high school at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Go Gold Fund (https://gogold.networkforgood.com/), an organization that brings about greater awareness of childhood cancer, or to Small Steps Nurturing Center (https://www.ssnc.org/), a non-profit Christian preschool that provides early childhood education and spiritual growth to economically at-risk children in Houston.
