Larry Gene Sears, 67 years, of Happy Jack, Ariz., born August 11, 1948, Lincoln, Ark. died April 7, 2016, Cottonwood, Ariz. Son of Charles Eugene and Icephine (Loftin) Sears. Preceded in death: father, Charles Eugene Sears; paternal grandparents, Charles P. and Leona (Clapp) Sears; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Maude (Cuzick) Loftin. Survivors wife, Norell (Hvall) Sears; children: five sons, Charles Sears of Broussard, La., Garry Sears of San Diego, Calif., Daniel Sears of Maryland, John Sears of New York, Brian Sears of Anchorage, Alaska; three daughters, Collene Hill of Billings, Mont., Deboran Anderson of Seattle, Wash. and Susan Posey of Palmer, Alaska; 15 grandchildren; mother, Icephine Sears of Fayetteville, ark.; one brother, Kevin B. Sears (Danita) of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sister, Gail True (John) of Fayetteville, Ark., and Charlene Sears of Fayetteville, Ark. Larry graduated from Prairie Grove, Ark. High School in 1966. He graduated from college in Corvallis, Ore., 1970. Majored in forestry. Worked for Forest Service through out Montana and Arizona and two years in Marianna, Ark. Retired from Forrest Service in Happy Jack, Ariz. 2005. Retained permit to fight Forest Fires when needed after retirement. Latest fire ws in one of Californi's in 2015. Memorial services held in Happy Jack, Ariz. April 10, 2016. Burial: Rexford, Mont., near Eureka, Mont. Schnackenberg and Nelson Funeral Homes, Eureka and Libby, Mont., April 16, 2016 Peace Valley Cemetery.
