Carroll Prothro, 73, of Fayetteville died Monday, March 7, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born August 8, 1942 in Sulphur, OK. to OK Guy and Velma Maurine Bingham Williams. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working with crafts and writing young peoples' novels. She attended Oklahoma City University obtaining degrees in psychology, biology and social work. Preceded in death by two sons, Brandon Keith Selton Mullins and Brian Evan Knott. She is survived by her husband, Michael Prothro of the home; a brother, Vance Williams and his wife, Elizabeth of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Jill Williams and husband, Jerry of Fayetteville and Lisa Thomason of Conway; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Beard's Chapel. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Beard's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lester C.
