Patricia Ann Bumpers

Patricia Ann Bumpers, 82, passed away February 27, 2016. She was born November 20, 1933. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Memphis, Tenn., as well as served in the kindergarten ministry for many years. She was actively involved in Cornerstones, bridge clubs, and her Sunday school class. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she met her husband of 55 years, John Clay Bumpers. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family and friends. To have known her is to have loved her. She is survived by her son, John Clay Bumpers Jr. of Collierville, Tenn.; daughter, Pam Hale (David) and grandchildren, J.T. and Jordan Hale of Rogers, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Frances and Herbert Jernberg; and sister, Billie Jean Jones. Visitation will be Friday, March 4 from 11:30-1 p.m. and funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Graveside committal will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
