Charleen Hunt Green

Charleen Hunt Green, 89, died peacefully in her sleep on July 6, 2016, in her daughter's home in Palm City, Fla. Charleen was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and was one of six children. She attended high school in Fort Smith and in Fayetteville, Ark. Charleen met Norris H. Green in high school where he played the piano at the school dances. They were married in 1945 and had four children. Over the years they lived in Arkansas, California and Oklahoma. After settling in Oklahoma, Charleen established a daycare in her home that operated for several years. She later became a certified Massage Therapist and worked from her home. She was survived by her brother Fred (Cary) Hunt of Little Rock, Ark., her son Mark (Jana) Green of Broken Arrow, Okla., son Stephen (Kay) Green of Russellville, Ark., daughter Charlotte (Mike) Liston. Charleen was the proud grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of fourteen, she was the Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews all of who she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Lynn, husband Norris and recently the last of her four sisters. Charleen exhibited a strong faith in Jesus Christ and demonstrated that belief to all she came in contact with. There will be a memorial service on July 22 at 4 p.m. at Our Lords Community Church, 11400 Portland Avenue in Oklahoma City. The burial will be Monday July 25 at 10 a.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery, 105 North University Street in Fayetteville, Ark. Thank you to all who helped to make the ceremony of Charleen's life so special and for all the support that she was given over the years. She will be truly missed!
