Rose Marie Schuler

Rose Marie Schuler, 89, daughter of Virgil and Jenny Marie Estle and wife of Charles Joe Schuler, of Wichita, Kan., died Nov. 21, 2016 at Travanse Living in Olathe, Kan. Rosie and Joe lived the last 32 years in Holiday Island, Ark. She loved socializing with family and friends and was fondly called "Oma" by many. She was a Life Master duplicate bridge player and loved watching sports, especially the Royals and Jayhawks. She is survived by her husband Joe of 70 years, daughter, Nancy Whitcomb and son Jay Schuler both of Holiday Island, Ark., daughter, Kim Wright of Shawnee, Kan. and by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lee Anne Schuler of Mission, Kan., son, Mark Schuler of Prairie Village, Kan., and grandson, Tyler Schuler of Wichita, Kan. Services will be held at 2 p.m., December 10 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 11430 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, Mo. 64114. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute.
