Willye Arlene Baldridge

Willye Arlene Quinn Baldridge, age 96, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Nov. 23, 1918 in Martinville, Ark. to William Wallace and Georgia Lucas Quinn. She was the widow of Jack Lee Baldridge of Ft. Worth, Texas, a pilot for General Dynamics who died in a plane crash in June 1960. After graduating as Valedictorian of the 1936 class of Morrilton High School, she attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) and taught school in Mountain Home and Keiser, Ark. She and Jack married in 1942. She moved to Rogers in 1984 to be near her two daughters. She was a member of the Christadelphian Church and loved gardening and reading, especially a daily Bible study. Survivors include two daughters, Judith Arlene Baldridge Smith and husband Dennis Louis Smith of Fayetteville and Jane Lee Baldridge of Rogers and two grandchildren, Courtney Alexa Smith and Lee Duncan Smith. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 27 at the Martinville Cemetery with Aaron Thomas officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to service at Martinville Arbor. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
