Randall Steven Hulse

Randall Steven Hulse, 57, of Wheeler passed away March 16, 2015. He was born March 30, 1957 in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of Howard H. Hulse and Celeste (Hulse) Gray. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Gregory L. Hulse. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1975. Randy was a professional truck driver nicknamed "Shag" and worked for Simmons Foods, Inc. He served as a volunteer firefighter for several years on the Wheeler Volunteer Fire Department. He was a partner in Howard Hulse Farms with his brothers, raising beef cattle on the farm where he grew up. Randy spent his younger years competing in both amateur and professional rodeos as a bronc rider and bull rider. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and rode often. In recent years he traveled in the US as well as the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Belize and the Dominican Republic. He was a bee keeper, an amateur blacksmith, and worked at leather craft. Randy was devoted to his children and grandchildren. Friends and family loved his great sense of humor and his infectious laugh. Wherever he went, Randy was the life of the party. He is survived by his mother; son, Dakota Hulse and wife Courtney of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Amanda Hulse of Wheeler; daughter, Michelle Erwin Holt of Harrison, Ark.; five grandchildren, Vinny Hulse, Quinn Hulse, Jackson Turner, Madison Holt and Jace Holt; brother Danny R. Hulse of Wheeler; sister, Cathy Robbins and husband Steve Robbins of Bixby, Okla.; brother Rusty Hulse of Wheeler; sister-in-law, Devona Hulse of Fayetteville; three nieces and six nephews. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m., Friday March 20 at Corner Post Cowboy Church, 17242 Martin Pedro Rd., Siloam Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville is handling the services.
