Lena Mae ("Lea") Elliott, 82, passed away March 8, 2015 in Joplin. She was born on May 11, 1932 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma to the late Orval Crawford and Bessie Goodeagle. Lea was an avid golfer and held the ladies' championship title at Prairie Creek Country Club multiple times. In later years, she greatly enjoyed hosting and organizing the Annual Eastern Shawnee Golf Tournament for the tribe of which she was a member. She is survived by one daughter, Ann, a son-in-law, Rick, and twin grandchildren, Constantine and Victoria, all of California. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than sixty years, Kenneth Patrick Elliott, formerly of Rogers, Arkansas, and her two sisters, Joan and Barbara, formerly of Oklahoma. A visitation will be ongoing today, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, starting at 12 noon in the Sandy Captain Cultural Center, 125 W. Oneida St, Seneca, Missouri. A funeral service will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Cultural Center. Burial will be on Friday at 10am at Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lea's name to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, Fifth Floor, Norwalk, Conn. 06851.
