Joe Bennett Crouch, age 94, of Fayetteville, died peacefully at the Arkansas Veteran's Home on Friday, December 25, 2015. He was born on May 30, 1921 in Fayetteville to R.B. and Lottie Crouch. He was the eldest son of seven children. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Joe graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1949 with a B.S. in Agriculture. He worked as a County Extension Agent in Arkansas and Missouri, owned a broiler operation in Texas and was a Field Salesman for poultry feed additives. He was also a lifelong farmer and loved to quail hunt. He married the love of his life, Christine, on July 29, 1955. They enjoyed almost 56 years together. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Christine, his son, Joe Bennett Crouch, Jr., his parents, his sisters, Kathryn Nan Crouch, Charlotte Sue Crouch, Mildred Lee Crouch and Mary Carolyn Thomas and a brother, Robert Henry Crouch. He is survived by his son, Allen and wife, Lisa Crouch of Fayetteville, sister, Patricia Browner of Columbia, S.C., grandsons, Austen Crouch of Kansas City, Mo., Dylan Crouch and Riley Crouch of Fayetteville, and several nieces and nephews. After retirement, Joe enjoyed gardening and raising cattle at the family farm. However, his three grandsons were the highlight of his life. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at the Arkansas Veteran's Home, Brookstone Assisted Living and Circle of Life Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the home of Allen and Lisa Crouch. A Celebration of Joe's life will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore's Funeral Chapel. Immediately following the service, Military Honors will be rendered at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville. Pallbearers will be Austen Crouch, Dylan Crouch, Riley Crouch, Bobby Crouch, David McCain, Tom Stockland and Honorary Pallbearers Ron Nespeca, Ronnie Nespeca and Cash Nespeca.
