Richard Eugene Mayes II

Richard Eugene Mayes II, age 56, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born June 30, 1959 in Prairie Grove, the son of Richard Eugene Mayes I and Robbie Maxine McCracken Mayes. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a retired police officer after serving 20 years with the Springdale Police Department and served in the United States Army Reserves retiring in October 2013 as a Colonel. He is survived by his wife, Karen J. Mayes; two sons, Richard Eugene "Trey" Mayes III of Fayetteville and Jared Wayne Mayes of Fayetteville and a sister Niki Aileen Mayes.
