Bertie Shackelford

Bertie Shackelford, age 76, of Fayetteville, went on to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born May 17, 1939 in Brannon Mountain, the son of Oliver Lee and Maudie Rose Baker Shackelford. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elmer Shackelford. He retired from Ozarks Electric after 35 years. He was a loving husband, father, Papa and friend to all he met. He served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy; two sons, Bradley Shackelford of Fayetteville, and Troy Shackelford and his wife Ann of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Karsten, Jeremiah and Abigayle; five brothers, Dessie Shackelford, Jessie Shackelford, Ray Shackelford, Edward Shackelford and Tommy Shackelford; three sisters, Ruth Miller, Bertha Osburn and Helen Lanham; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Elkins Full Gospel Church in Elkins with burial to follow in Brannon Mountain Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
