Rodger Dean Hasselman

Rodger Dean Hasselman. 8/12/1965, Newton, Iowa - 8/15/2015, Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. He was the son of Richard and Phyllis (Adams) Hasselman of Newton. In 1984 he graduated from Newton High School, where he was the manager and student trainer of the football team. All his adult life he worked hard in construction and carpentry. Amazing with his head as well as his hands, he could design and build just about anything. He was a devoted and active servant of Jesus Christ at Calvary Chapel in the Ozarks, Rogers, Ark. Rodger was generous with his time and skill and also loved children. He worked at Boys and Girls Club and helped with children's ministry at church. With gusto he loved his Harley, Maid-Rites hamburgers, chocolate shakes, pizza, and Mountain Dew! He is survived by brother: Sean Clements, aunt: Pansy House, many cousins, and several nieces and nephews, Foster Parents Nile and Donna McCoy, brothers Ryan and Stephen (Jen) McCoy, and Lauren. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Kim Dix, brothers Richard Burnett and Doug Hasselman. Memorial service at Calvary Chapel in the Ozarks, 2100 Perry Road, Rogers, Ark. , 636-3486, Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in memory of Rodger to Calvary Chapel in the Ozarks.
