Tamhra Sawyer Latshaw passed away peacefully in her home on April 19, 2015. Services will be held both in North Carolina and in NW Arkansas. Services for NW Arkansas will be as follows, Monday April 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri and Graveside Services will be at Jane Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28th. Tamhra was born in Neosho, Missouri to Freda and Thad Hale. She went to high school at Siloam Springs High School in Arkansas where she was the lead majorette. She later went to Arkansas Tech University and took business classes. Her first career was the Placement Director at University of Arkansas before she moved to Bentonville, Ark. where she was co-owner of PJ's Clothing Boutique. While in Arkansas, she was the Justice of the Peace and served for many years on the Quorum Court. She spent time briefly in Branson where she and her husband John enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake. During her time in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri she was a valued member of PEO Chapter MZ. She also served as the President of Newcomers/Longtimers, where she was known for her inspirational presentations at luncheons and special events. She was also the deacon of the Lake Ozark Christian Church, where she was active on the Fellowship Committee and in the Christian Women's Fellowship. In 2011 she moved to Greensboro, N.C. to be closer to her daughter and family. She quickly built a close network of friends and became active in the Greensboro community, where she served as President of the Greensboro Newcomers Club, President of the HOA at Guilford Crossing, and as a member of PEO Chapter BM. Her activities in the Newcomers club involved bunco, bridge, dining out and canasta. Community involvement was a passion of hers and her accomplishments are numerous. She enjoyed movies, playing cards, planning events and spending time with her many friends and family. Tamhra is preceded in death by her parents, Freda and Thadus, her brother JT Hale, and her beloved husband John Clark Latshaw. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Deidre Sawyer Frisby and husband, Greg, of Greensboro, North Carolina; two step-daughters, Jana Reishus and husband, Paul, of Dallas, Texas and Nicole Hawkins and husband, Andrew, of Richardson, Texas; seven grandchildren, Abby Littrell, Allye Holcomb (and husband, Adam), Katelin Reishus, Adam Reishus, Leah Reishus, Teagan Hawkins, Rhett Hawkins, Alec Frisby, and Dax Frisby; one great-grandchild, Franklin Holcomb; sister-in-law, Anne Hale; nephews Tim Hale and Chad, Mike Hale and wife, Andrea, and David Hale and wife, Pam; as well as a host of other family and friends. Tamhra's final resting place will be in Jane, Missouri alongside her husband, John Latshaw. She will be deeply missed.
