Omer Dean Dobbs

Omer Dean Dobbs, 78, a resident of Salina, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on April 17, 2015 at his home. He was born September 22, 1936 in Odell, Arkansas, the son of John Herbert "Perno" and Jewell Agnes Rose Dobbs. Omer was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thornton Dobbs and Johnny Dobbs: three sisters, Lavelle Howe, Bonnie Morrison and Rachel Loftin; and one grandson, Craig Helm. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine W. Dobbs; three daughters, Tena Merydith of Claremore, Oklahoma, Gena Thompson of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas and Dena Dobbs of Pryor, Oklahoma; one brother, Clinton Dobbs of Grove, Oklahoma, and one sister, Ruby Marshall of Centerton, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Denise Walton, Derek Merydith, Riane Jones, Brendan Williamson and Eli Williamson; and five great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on May 9th at 12 noon at Calvary Baptist Church in Summers, Arkansas. Lunch will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that you make donations to the Dobbs Cemetery Sign Fund that will be used for the fabrication and installation of the sign. Any money left over will be used for the maintenance of the cemetery.
