Russell Glenn Tolbert

Russell Glenn Tolbert, 78, of Rogers, died Wednesday, May 7, at Highlands of Rogers Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Boise City, Okla., to Samuel Thomas Tolbert and Mary Elizabeth Trembly Tolbert. He retired from First Brands in Rogers after 27 years. He loved golf, playing with his grandkids and working on cars. He was an Army Veteran and a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife Virginia Scott Tolbert of the home; four sons, Robert Tolbert and wife Susan of Warrenton, Va., Don Tolbert and wife Pam of Bentonville, David Tolbert and fiancee JoAnn of Seligman, Mo., Mike Tolbert and wife Tammy of Rogers; four stepchildren, Donna Boren and husband Bill of Wagoner, Okla., Joe Lockhart of Rogers, Carl Pendley and wife Karen of Rogers and Tina Kendell of Rogers; a sister, June Hurd of Rogers; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the New Prospect Church in Garfield. Burial will be in the Bayless Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
