Nellie Mae Tackett

Nellie Mae Tackett, age 84, of Marshall, Ark., passed from this life Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Highland Court Rehabilitation and Resident Care Facility in Marshall, Ark. She was born May 17, 1929, in Wadena, Iowa, to parents John Henry and Leona (Zuercher) Curtis. She married Odus Tackett on Sept. 25, 1947. She was of Pentecostal faith and shared her faith with all she met. How she lived her life is her testimony. Preceding Nellie in death: parents; stepfather, husband Odus Tackett, Sr.; son Francis Tackett; granddaughter Tiffany LeighAnne Barron; two sisters, two sisters-in-law, nine brothers-in-law and father-in-law Newt Tackett. Survivors: James (Anna) Tackett, Barbara Reddell, Betty (Robin) Wade, Peggy (Norman) Hunter, Odus (Val) Tackett, Jr.; three sisters and one brother (all of Iowa); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two aunts. Funeral services for Nellie Mae Tackett will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Roller Coffman Funeral Home, with Bros. Carl Mize and Garvin Gene Reid officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday. Burial in Cypert Cemetery. Pallbearers: Norman Hunter, Jr., Bob Bounds, Robin and Ed Wade, Lenny and TJ Tackett, Ronald Ragland, Dewayne Bryant, Cleo and Troy Dye and Robby Bailey. Honorary pallbearers: Staff and residents at Highland Court; staff at BMRHC; Derek Bailey, Dr. Bill Mears; and the BINGO Ladies at Highland Court.
