Kathryn Marie Lawson

Kathryn Marie Lawson, 57, of Okeechobee, Fla., joined her loved ones in Heaven May 4, 2014. Daughter of Warren and Claudia Lawson of Bella Vista, Ark., she is survived by brothers, Bradley Lawson, wife Jackie, Pea Ridge, and Eric Lawson, fiancée Rhonda Martin, Bella Vista; nephew, Brad Lawson Jr., wife Christa, and family, Lundsborg, Kan. Kathryn was a talented, entrepreneurial person who successfully owned Kathy's Kountry Promotions in Nashville, worked for PBS in Nebraska and Washington, D.C. At the U.S. Government, she helped to create TVMARTEE, the national station sending information to Cuba. Kathryn retired from the U.S. Government. Kathryn raised and showed her champion Papillon dogs at Westminster and Eukenuba dog shows. She was a poet, artist, music writer, performer and talented vocalist, having studied music at Peabody College. She loved sharing her gifts of life with others. Mass will take place 8:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, Bella Vista, Tuesday, May 13. In lieu of flowers, gifts to Circle of Life Hospice, Bentonville, will be appreciated.
