Charles David Johnson, age 61, died Thursday, May 8, in Springdale. David was born on July 8, 1952 in Harrisburg, Ark., to Charles Oliver Johnson and the late Thelma Alice Linvell. He married Angela Johnson on Dec. 16, 1984, and they lived together in Texas before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1998. David was an accomplished musician, who loved his family, his friends, his dogs, good music, great food, a quick-witted joke, cheesy action movies, and exploring the Ozarks on his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Angela Bordonaro Johnson; his children, Corey Johnson, of Fayetteville, and Leah Johnson, of New Orleans, La.; his father, Charles Oliver Johnson, of Rockford, Ill.; and his sisters, Connie Christian, of Houston, Texas, and Darla Schroeder, of Rockford, Ill. He is also survived by a vast network of extended family and friends. The visitation will be Sunday, May 11 from 6-8 at Beard's Chapel in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12 at 1 pm at Beard's Chapel. There will be a reception following the service for family and friends at Restoration in Fayetteville.
