Annabell Catherine Tito

Annabell Catherine (Coleman) Tito passed away May 1, 2014, in Anchorage, Alaska, at Providence Hospital. Annabell was born in Oshkosh, Neb., in 1930, moved to Ogden, Utah, as a young child and then traveled by steamship to the Territory of Alaska as a teenager with her family in 1944. Annabell married Heinz (Harry) Tito and together they started Tito's Trucking, the first refuse service in Mountain View, Fairview and Spenard. Annabell enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bowling and playing cards. Later in life, her joys were reading, word search, going to the casino and watching baseball with her grandson, Paige, all the while arguing who was going to win the World Series. In Arkansas she and Tamara would spend hours playing cards, often till the early morning hours. However, what she loved most were family, friends and her Shih Tzu, Missy Ann, and Lady, her cat. Annabell was preceded in death by her parents, Dolly Leota (Coleman) and Emory Gorder; husband, Harry Tito; daughter, Patricia C. Tito; siblings, Chester V. Jensen, William K. Gorder, John Robert (Bob) Gorder; and son-in-aw, Ronnie Combs. Annabell is survived by her son, Bill Tito and wife, Donna; daughter, Connie Combs; grandson, Paige E. Combs and girlfriend, Tamara Nation; grandson, Cache Combs; granddaughter, Tara Scott and husband, Ben and children; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Combs, Colton Henley, Paxton Combs; and special friend, John Andrews who never failed to attend to all those big and little things she needed him to do. There are so many others who were lucky enough to call her friend and Annabell loved them all. Annabell was a member of the American Legion Post 1, Moose Lodge, Eagles, Real Alaskans and the Pioneers of Alaska Igloo #4. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Anchorage Alaska Humane Society. A Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 11621 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99515. Father Dan Hebert will officiate.
