Carol Broyles Hopper

Carol Broyles Hopper, 66, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at WRMC in Fayetteville. She was born March 10, 1947, in Fayetteville to Leonard and Nellie (McKenzie) Broyles. She was retired from 33 years as a school teacher in the Fayetteville Public Schools. She began teaching at Jefferson Elementary. After three years, she became part of the original staff at Happy Hollow Elementary where she completed her career. She was a member of Mount Comfort Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Nick L. Hopper of the home, and her beloved dogs. Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at 10: a.m. in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
