Michael Allen Stroh

Michael Allen Stroh, 43, of Springdale passed away at his residence in Ocoee, Fla., on Aug. 16, 2014. Michael was born on March 19, 1971, in Fayetteville, Ark. He attended Northwest Arkansas Community College and is a graduate of the White River School of Massage. Michael held a state license as a massage therapist in Arkansas and Florida and was nationally certified. Michael's career started as a massage therapist for the University of Arkansas track team. He later moved to Florida to dedicate himself to Olympic track and field athletes in training. He traveled with many athletes to many meets in foreign countries. Tyson Gay (Olympic runner) was a special friend and a long and loyal client. Michael was dedicated and conscientious in all endeavors and compassionate about everyone he met. He lived to help others and always had an effervescent and infectious smile on his face. His commitment to his clients was, "I'm available 24/7 as you need me." Michael is survived by his mother, Laurie Baker and husband, Norm; father, Roger Stroh and wife, Dale; sister, Debbie Wethers (BB) and husband, Barry; nephew, Taylor Wethers; uncle, Dennis Stroh and spouse, Lauren; son and joy of his life of 1½ years, Mayson Lee Stroh; mother of Mason, Korene Hines; stepuncle, Rick Owen; and stepsister, Jodi Stroh. Michael's wish was to be cremated and buried next to his maternal grandmother. Memorial and burial services for the family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fayetteville.
