Barbara Jean Baker Carver

Barbara Jean Baker Carver of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Springdale, Ark., died Monday, March 31, 2014, in St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. She was 67 years old. She was retired from a 38-year-long career in nursing which she loved. Her passion to help, love and care for others was evident to all who knew her. Ms. Carver was born Dec. 24, 1946, to Richard and Pauline Baker of Springdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry Baker and Dennis Baker; and two sisters, Pansy Baker Johnson and Paula Baker. She is survived by one daughter, Christy Carver Rybiski of Texarkana, Texas; one son-in-law, Barry Rybiski of Texarkana Texas; and two grandchildren, Hayden and Ashlyn Rybiski of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Rex Baker of Springdale; four nephews, Ken Johnson of Fayetteville, Tony Baker of Siloam Springs, Aaron Baker of Springdale and Danny Baker of Springdale; one niece, Wendy West of Prairie Grove; and four great-nieces and -nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel.
