Jose Victor Lara-Alegria, age 92, of Rogers passed away Sept. 18, 2013, in Rogers, Ark. Victor was born Dec, 23, 1921, in Guazapa, El Salvador, to parents Crisanto Alegria and Eusevia Lara. In later years, Victor moved to the United States to be near to his son and daughter. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rogers, and enjoyed walking, working and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one son, Jose Roberto Lara. He is survived by two sons, Ricardo Lara and wife, Teresa, of Rogers, and Mauricio Evangelista; one daughter, Alba Lara-Gonzalez and husband, Cesar, of Rogers; grandchildren, Ricardo Lara Jr., Jonathan Lara, Cesar Gonzalez, Jeffrey Lara, Bryan Gonzalez, Kevin Gonzalez; cousins, Teresa Alegria and Ramon Alegria; nephews, Oscar Alegria and Mario Alegria; nieces, Rina Alegria and Cruz Alegria; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rogers. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, Ark.
