Esther Sarratt

Esther Sarratt, 83, of Gentry, Ark., died Nov. 21, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Ark. Born March 1, 1930, in Cave Springs, Ark., she was the daughter of Glenn John and Mina Pearl Frazee John. She had lived in Gentry since 1960, where she was a bookkeeper for the Gentry Public Schools. She married Cecil Sarratt in Cave Springs on Aug. 29, 1958. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Bryan Sarratt; three brothers, Griffith John, Jay John, and Forrest John; and three sisters, Glenda Howell, Etta Smith, and Oletha Bell. Survivors include one daughter, Susan Rhodes of Fayetteville, Ark.; one son, Kyle Sarratt and wife Christine of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Toni Sarratt of Gentry; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Gentry Church of Christ, Gentry, Ark., with Bruce Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.
