Janet Adams

Janet Adams, 71, of Pineville, Mo., passed away Nov. 16, 2013, in Bentonville. She was born May 2, 1942, in Hutchinson, Kan., the daughter of Marvin M. and Veda V. Morris Snyder. She formerly worked at National Beef in Liberal, Kan., and she also was an elephant performer with the Shrine Circus. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Martin and one stepson, Ray Adams. Survived by her husband, Robert Ray Adams of the home; children, Michelle Pierson of Pineville, Mo., Toni Martin of Emporia, Kan., Edie Akins McDonald of Bentonville, Stephen Akins of Neosho, Mo., and Mike Akins of Pittsburg, Pa.; three stepchildren, Rickey Adams of Pineville, Gena Nelson of Lanagan and Jana Nay of Hutchinson, Kan.; her siblings, Rise Hardesty of Hutchinson, Kan., Diana Wright of California, and Eugene Snyder of Nickerson, Kan.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other family members. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. with services following at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, AR.
