Donald Lee Phillips

Donald Lee Phillips, age 71, of Springdale, Ark., died May 23, 2013, in Springdale. He was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Woodlake, Calif., the son of Lee Vernon and Katie Hinds Phillips. Donald moved to Arkansas in 1957. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a longtime truck driver for approximately 40 years working for Tyson, Willis Shaw and National Carriers, and during this time became an owner/operator. He was a good husband and brother. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Jan Phillips of the home; and one sister, Patty Phillip of Broken Arrow, Okla. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Eden officiating. Private burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. There will not be a visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
