Larry Dean Thomas

Larry Dean Thomas, age 60, of Lowell, passed away April 30, 2013. Larry was born April 5, 1953, in Weatherford, Texas, to parents Luther Thomas and Mary Ople Garrett. He enjoyed his family and also riding the trains and seeing new places. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mary; and one son, Paul Charles "Chucky" Merideth. He is survived by three sons, Michael Shawn Thomas of Centerton, Ark., Joseph Lee Thomas of Fayetteville and Mathew Wayne of Missouri; brothers, Finnie Albert Thomas of Texas, Stanley Ray Thomas of Duncan, Okla., Oran Luther Thomas of Combs, Ark., Garry Thomas of Fayetteville and Luther Thomas Jr. of Fayetteville; sisters, Marybeth Scott of Crockett, Texas, Linda Miles of Odessa, Texas, Mildred Harris of Fayetteville, Nelda Jean Thomas of Odessa, Texas, Thelma Todhunter of Cave Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2013, at the New Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the 7 Hills Homeless Shelter, P.O. Box 474, Fayetteville, AR 72702; or the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR 72762. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
