Olaf Reece Cooper

Olaf Reece Cooper, 74, of Winslow passed away on April 29, 2013, at Willard Walker Hospice Home. He was born March 10, 1939, in the Cardon Bottoms Community in Yell County, Ark., to O.H. Cooper and Edith Cara Taylor Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Olaf Brian Cooper. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanne Cooper of the home; two sons, Charles Patrick Cooper and wife, Marcy of Dallas, Texas, and Michael D. Cooper and wife, Pat of Winslow; daughter, Deanne Worrell and husband, Eddie of Cromwell, Ind.; brother, Phillip Cooper and wife, Kaye of Killen, Ala.; sister, Lana Patterson and husband, Bobby of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends at the Sunset Community Building, Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Phillip Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel. The family would like to express their appreciation for the staff at Willard Walker Hospice Home for their service.
