Ruth E. McCarver

Ruth E. McCarver, 90, of Rogers passed from this life on March 25, 2013. She was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Japton, Ark., to Arthur and Beulah Ross Richardson. Ruth was married to Wymer L. McCarver on May 17, 1938; they were married 55 years. Ruth was an accomplished seamstress for more than 70 years. She worked as a tailor for Dillards Department Store. Ruth was an excellent cook and her family fondly remembers her amazing cherry pies. Ruth was a proud charter member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Springdale. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wymer; and brother, Raymond Richardson. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Clint McCarver and his wife, Marge, of Rogers, Trenton McCarver and his wife, Kaye, of Siloam Springs, and Larry McCarver of Rogers; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Faith Assembly of God Church in Springdale, with the Rev. Billy Burks officiating.
