Della Louise Brooks

Della Louise Brooks, 97, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Quail Ridge Living Center in Colcord, Okla. She was born on April 14, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo., to Roy Herbert Prewitt and Faye King Prewitt. She was married for 73 years. She moved to Bella Vista 27 years ago from Denver, Colo. She belonged to many Bridge groups, enjoyed playing Dominoes and Monte Ne Chicken. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford "Chick" Brooks in 2011; and brother, George Prewitt in 1992. She is survived by one son, Roy Brooks and wife, Dorothy, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Linda Best and husband, Sheldon, of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, Ark. She will be interred in the Mausoleum at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery in the Denver area at a later date. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Memorials may be made in her honor to Circle of Life Hospice.
