Foster Lee Sturgeon

Foster Lee Sturgeon, 74, of Fayetteville died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born May 13, 1938, in Bloomington, Ind., to Clarence and Ida Sturgeon. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Holycross; and two sisters, Mable and Margaret. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Karen Sturgeon of the home; three sons, Michael Sturgeon and wife, Connie, of Monticello, Ind., Derek Johnson and wife, Lynn, of Fayetteville, and Troy Johnson and Judy Jim of Prairie Grove; two daughters, Margie Stetler and husband, Larry, of Lafayette, Ind., and Darla Day and husband, Will, of Fayetteville; brother, Ed Sturgeon of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship with the Rev. Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at Brannon Mountain Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.
