Charlene GL Coates Parnham

Charlene GL Coates Parnham, 88, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista. She was born on Sept. 9, 1924, in College Springs, Iowa, the fourth daughter of Charles and Della Coates. She graduated in 1942 from Elmo High School in Elmo, Mo. She attended business college in St. Joseph, Mo. She married Richard Parnham on Feb. 5, 1945. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Gravette and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and her husband. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kelley and husband, Robert Kelley; two grandchildren, Michael Kelley of Orlando, Fla., and Kathleen (Kent) Baker of Bentonville; and two great-granddaughters, Kentley and Kelsey. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the First Christian Church in Gravette. Burial will be at the Georgia Flats Cemetery in Gravette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
