Ethel Almeida Ivy

Mrs. Ethel Almeida Ivy, 82, of Meridian died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. She was retired from Sears, and enjoyed gardening and caring for her family. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Thomas L. Ivy of Meridian; sons, Michael Ivy and wife, Beck, of Rogers, Ark., and Terry D. Ivy and wife, Sabina, of Meridian; grandchildren, Lisa, Christi, Brandon, Tadd, Steven and Cara; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Lynn Bashaw and husband, Glen, of Monticello, Ark., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Wilson. Visitation will be held Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Services for Ethel Almeida Ivy will be held Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Boles officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hampton, Ark., with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
