Leslie Irene Wells

Leslie Irene Wells, 54, was born Dec. 19, 1958, to Gerald Gravning and Peggy Mattox Gravning at Norton AFB in San Bernardino, Calif. She attended high school in San Diego and college at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she excelled in the drama department. She was awarded Best Actress three years in a row for such plays as "The Matz Maker," "The Female Odd Couple" and many more. After college she worked at Restaurant on the Corner and continued in local theater productions of "Valentines and Killer Chili" and "Comeback to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean" until health problems interfered. Leslie was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Gravning; and her uncle, Lynne Gravning. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Gravning of Bella Vista; her loving son, Christopher Wells and his wife, Brandi Burks Wells; and the love of Leslie's life, Mollie Kate Wells; her brother, Robert Gravning of Bella Vista; aunt and uncle, Corrinne and Dave Fossen of California, Milton and Audrey Jenner of Nebraska; and numerous cousins from California, Nebraska, North Dakota and Montana. She is also survived by her best friend and constant companion, Lilly Belle. No services are planned. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
