George William Day Sr.

George William Day Sr., 85, of Centerton died, Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his home. He was born July 13, 1928, in Chanute, Kan., to Loyd Day and Frances Goodman Day. He married Lillian Flora Harrelson April 21, 1951, in Vaughn, Ark. He was a chicken and turkey farmer. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, hunting and was a member of Vaughn Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his wife; and three sisters, Opal McDaniel, Dorothy Edgeman and Martha Stites. Survivors are a son, George Day Jr. of Centerton; five daughters, Brenda Greene of Pineville, Mo., Connie Day, Pamela Day, Debbie Monroe and Rebecca Lockhard, all of Centerton; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Service is set for 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Vaughn Presbyterian Church, with Lynn Brown officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. No visitation.
