Thelma Marie Simon

Thelma Marie Simon, age 84, of Springdale died April 25, 2013, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born March 15, 1929, in Springdale, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Millie Sizemore Wolfe. Thelma married Howard Simon in 1953, and was preceded in death by him on April 25, 1973. She was also preceded by her parents; one brother, Vernon Wolfe; and one sister, Frances Wade. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, family and friends, and also enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling with friends and family. She was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church in Bethel Heights, Ark. She is survived by one son, Howard Clayton Simon and his wife, Cheryl, of Springdale; one brother, Elvon Wolf and his wife, Evelyn, of Springdale; three granddaughters, Tara Simon of Springdale, Lindsey Taylor and her husband, Grayson, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and Shelby Simon of Springdale; and one great-granddaughter, Audrey Taylor of Rocky Comfort, Mo. Graveside services will be Monday, April 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Sonora Cemetery, with the Rev. Kelly Yarbrough officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
