Lena Lorene Presson

Lena Lorene Presson, 98, of Farmington passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Hillsboro, Mo., the daughter of William and Hassie Evans Thomure. She was a homemaker and attended New Beginnings House of Praise. Preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Presson Sr.; and one, son, William Paul Presson Jr. Survivors include one son, Richard H. Presson of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mary L. McAlpin of Farmington and Margaret J. Gones of Advance, Mo.; one sister, Margie Burgess of Saint Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Beard's Funeral Chapel, with Pastors Mike Smith and Ray Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery.
