Ella Marie Norvell

Ella Marie Norvell of Fayetteville passed away on Oct. 22, 2012, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was 90 years old. Open visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Graveside service will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at White Oak Cemetery. Brother Bud Byerley will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons. The daughter of Oran and Myrtle (Gann) Walker was born on April 22, 1922, in the White Oak Community. Ella enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Norvell; her parents; a sister, Rosamae Ingram; and a daughter-in-law, Lily Jo Norvell. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Roy and Carolyn Norvell of Rogers, Ark., and Richard and Roxanne Norvell of Flintville, Tenn.; two daughters and their husbands, Emma and Terry Carson, and Elaine and Ben Thompson, all of Fayetteville; two sisters, Eva Sansing of Harrison and Ora Russell of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren, Tony Norvell of Rogers, Victor Norvell and wife, Rhonda, of Bentonville, Kathy Norvell of Bella Vista, Kristina Jaramillo of Bosque Farms, N.M., Brett Thompson and wife, Joanna, of Fayetteville, and Cole Thompson of Fayetteville; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Oak Cemetery, c/o Jerry Edwards, 6847 Dees Road, Harrison, AR 72601; or to Washington Regional Hospice, 325 E. Longview St., Fayetteville, AR 72703.
