Robert Bo Earl Milam

Robert "Bob" Earl Milam, age 76, died Oct. 11, 2012, at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on Sept. 2, 1936, in Peoria, Ill., to Earl K. and Pearl L. (Etchison) Milam. Both parents preceded him in death. Bob was raised and educated in Illinois. He married Virginia Murray on Jan. 21, 1956, in Peoria, Ill. He began his career as a four-year machinist apprentice at Caterpillar Tractor Co. His career spanned over 44 years with Caterpillar and related companies. He retired as a national accounts sales manager for Caterpillar Forklift America. Bob and his wife moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in March of 1995. He served as vice president of Men's 9-Hole Golf League. He was an active member of Highlands United Methodist Church and the Hummers Men's Club. Bob enjoyed fishing, golf, playing cards, traveling and all sports. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ginny Milam of Bella Vista, Ark; son and wife, David and Bonnie Milam of Purcellville, Va.; daughter and husband, Diane and Cliff Morgan of Escondido, Calif. The family have five grandchildren, Andrew and wife, Carissa Milam, Scott and wife, Hillary Milam, Karen Milam, Tyler Morgan and Erin Morgan. They also have five great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by two brothers, John and wife, Joann Milam, and Gerald and wife, Mary Milam. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2012, at the Highlands United Methodist Church, 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, Ark. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highlands United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
