Alma Marie Kiene

Alma Marie Kiene, age 83, of Fresno, Calif., formerly of Washington, Iowa, and Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, in Fresno. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Bethel Cemetery near Wapello, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home prior to the service. A memorial has been established to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She graduated from Wapello High School and continued her education at the American Institute of Business in Davenport. Alma was united in marriage to Elmer Kiene on Aug. 11, 1954. Alma is survived by her sister, Frances Blankenhorn of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Matt Kiene and wife, Kathy, of Fresno, Calif.; son, Mike Kiene and wife, Karen, of Neosho, Mo.; son, Allen Kiene and wife, Vivian, of Broomfield, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Faye, Irving and Everett; and husband, Elmer, who died in 2007.
