Terry Wayne Woodside, 55, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at his residence. He was born April 1, 1957, in St. Louis, Mo., to Wayne Woodside and Gladys Marie Woodside. He proudly served in the United States Marines. Terry retired from the Rogers Police Department after 20 years of service as a police officer and detective. He was very involved in politics and the Republican Party. He loved the lake and was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Hudson; and dear friend, Janice Boyter. Terry is survived by one son, Cayden James Woodside of Rogers; parents, Wayne Woodside of Rogers and Gladys Woodside of McKinney, Texas; one brother, Steve Woodside of Camdenton, Mo.; two sisters, Patti Morgan of Branson, Mo., Kathy Scherer of McKinney, Texas; special niece, Angie Morgan of St. Louis, Mo.; nephews and nieces, Chris Woodside, Tim Woodside, Mitchell Woodside, Kyle Scherer, Kody Scherer, Heather Woodside, Karsyn Scherer; Cayden's mother, Debbie Woodside of Rogers; and many friends and former co-workers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at New Hope Assembly of God, with the Rev. James Longmate officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post 100, Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard. Memorials may be made in honor of Terry Woodside to First National Bank of Rogers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
