John Burton Benn

John Bruton Benn, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Highlands Health & Rehab, Bella Vista, Ark. He was born on July 17, 1928, in Iantha, Mo., to Warren C. Benn and Willie Maude Bruton Benn. He moved to Bella Vista in 1991 from Wichita, Kan. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Christopher Ian Benn. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Bella Vista, Ark.; one son, Thomas Swaney (Stacie) of Kingman, Kans.; two daughters, Lynne Rockers (Brent) of Clive, Iowa, Ellen Cobb (Drew) of Bethesda, Md.; one stepson, Van Beamon; one stepdaughter, Fran Copley of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Edward Harold Benn (Nadine) of Independence, Mo., Warren C. Benn of Wichita, Kans.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A family gathering will be held at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
