Marjorie Key

Marjorie Key, 84 of Fayetteville died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born May 17, 1928, in Fayetteville, the daughter of Mack Wherry and Alice Nickell Springston; stepdaughter to Floyd Springston. She was employed as a nurse's aide with City Hospital for several years before retiring from Washington Regional Medical Center Home Health. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Key; two brothers, Jr. Springston and Miles Springston, both of Elkins, and a grandson, Weslie Kern. Survivors include three daughters, Robbie Knipe and husband, Floyd, of Fayetteville, Kathy Garcia of Johnson, Darlene Kimball and husband, Jamie, of Elkins; three sons, Rex Key and wife, Mary, of Elkins, Rick Key and wife, Melanie, of Belton, Texas, Mike Key of Fayetteville; brother, Carl Springston and wife, Barbara, of Fayetteville; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
