Kenneth Stephen "Steve" Petway, M.Ed., NCSP, 58, passed away on April 25, 2012. Steve was born and raised in Rogers, Ark., RHS '72, U of A Fayetteville, B.A. '77, M.Ed.'78. He worked as a School Psychologist for 30 years in Florida and Colorado. He is the first recipient of the "Petway Award," honoring his excellence in school psychology. Steve was a brilliant, articulate, charismatic man who mesmerized people with his stories, humor and insights. He was a shining star who will forever be in our hearts and guide our daily lives. Steve, we love you and miss you dearly. Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Diana Petway; his parents, Kenneth and Milda Petway; and family members, Linda and Earl Denny, Jordan Danielle Denny, Drew and Jamie Denny, Lance and Karon Nicholas, Heath Nicholas, Russ Dietz; his in-laws, Robert and Florence Ignasiak and their family Robert and Teresa Ignasiak, Karissa, Robby, Breigh and Blayne Ignasiak. A memorial service will be held on June 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Christ Fellowship, 9905 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Flowers may be sent to the above address.
